My Unforgettable Holiday Music 2012

Even though Christmas is over, I can’t seem to stay away from Christmas music! I started listening to Christmas music way before December even came around and you’d think I’d be sick of it by now. But, I’m not. I’m really not. I have no idea why…

So I gave my friends my favorite holiday music as gifts! Here’s my 2012 holiday play list:

1. Christmas Song – Catherine Feeny

2. Christmas Lights – Coldplay
Heard this on Pandora. Fell in love with it. Had to purchase it on iTunes!

3. Frosty The Snowman – Fiona Apple

4. Deck the Halls – Folk Angel ft Shane & Shane
Thanks Pandora!

5. Joy To The World – Folk Angel

Pandora again. This song has a twist compared to the usual Joy To The World. Definitely more fun
and upbeat.

6. Mistletoe – Justin Bieber
Ok, don’t judge! This song is really hip and cool. ‘Nuf said. I only know this song because I got Justin Bieber’s holiday CD last year as a white elephant gift. At first, I was upset but once I heard this song, I fell in love with it.

7. All My Bells Are Ringing – Lenka
Another fun and upbeat song.

8. Love Is Christmas – Sara Bareilles
Somehow, I discovered this song a year too late! I didn’t know she had a holiday song out last year! Can’t get over this song.

9. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas – Sarah McLachlan
Finally bought her holiday CD this year. I don’t regret purchasing it at all. She sings this song so beautifully.

10. In The Bleak Mid-Winter – Sarah McLachlan
Her voice is so pure and calming. Love it.

11. Jingle Bells – Sugar & The Hi Lows
Found this song from random iTunes shopping. It’s a hipster-indie holiday song. It makes me think of roller skates and doing the disco dance moves.

12. Linus and Lucy – Vince Guaraldi Trio
The best way to end this playlist was with a classic holiday song You can’t go wrong with this! I’ll never get sick of it and I’ll always want to dance like the kids.

Friends, I hope you enjoyed this play list! I can’t wait for another set of holiday music in 2013!

Monsters Calling Home Live!

I finally got the chance to see Monsters Calling Home perform live in Fullerton, California! Yay, I can check that off my list! Feats In Inches performed first as an opening act. They started the show on a good note making the audience pumped up for the whole night.

MCH only sang their popular songs which include all of their music. As you can see, I’m kind of a big fan of their music. Everyone in the band is so musically talented that you can really see it from their performance. I thoroughly enjoyed every song that they performed. If only they performed for 3+ hours that night, I would then have enjoyed it even more. Ok, 3+ hours is asking for a lot. That just shows you how much I loved their show that night.

If you didn’t get the chance to see them perform in Orange County, it’s ok. There’s still hope! They’re performing at a pretty well-known venue in Los Angeles called Troubadour on December 4th. Definitely check them out there for $15. I believe they’ll be playing new music too that night. I can’t wait to hear their new music!

Ok, if you didn’t go to their show in OC and you can’t go to their show in LA, I will be nice and forgive you just this once. But in the meantime, watch this live acoustic performance:

Is Christmas Here Yet?

As always, one YouTube video after another led me to this beautiful duet singing “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”. The acoustic and the soulful voices makes me excited for the cold weather and Christmas. Let’s wear our scarves and gloves, huddle around an imaginary camp fire, and watch this YouTube video on repeat together:

You might be thinking that it’s too early to sing any Christmas songs, but I’m only showing this to you to prepare you for the holiday season!

Happy early holiday cheers to you!

There’s an app called Songza where you can choose the genre of music you want to listen first based on your mood. The options they give you throughout the day changes. They’re pretty hilarious. One of tonight’s option was a new one for me that made me laugh. Guess which one made me laugh.

“Looking at Pictures of Your Ex”. Funny, huh? This is the selection of genres they give you if you click on that. The contents of what they write there is pretty funny also.

I like how this app customizes your music based on your mood. Even better, there are no commercials on this! Download it on your phone or go to
